Alex Calic is currently the Chief Revenue Officer of The Media Trust, a client-side monitoring and verification service to hundreds of clients across the online and mobile advertising ecosystem. Most recently he was part of the original management team at Clearspring Technologies, where he helped publishers create a distributed content experience (particularly with video content) for social media users and provided advertisers with a network through which to connect with these users across the social web.
His previous companies were involved in the e-commerce, mobile, web analytics and point-of-sales software sectors of technology, and he was fortunate enough to be be involved in taking one company public, acquiring a handful of others, raising venture capital and launching a successful consumer web property. He is proud to say that all four of his previous start-ups are still around and thriving in one form or another!
In his former life, Alex worked in finance- helping raise, manage and service a portfolio of over $1 billion in assets under management over a 5-year career. Alex attended The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Pepperdine University.
When not sharing his opinions on the web, listening to music (or doing both), Alex spends time with his three beautiful children and amazing wife in the suburbs of Washington, DC.
