Course Description:
This one day course was developed to provide ad operations professionals from publishers, ad agencies, ad networks
and other companies with a high level overview of the key activities required to manage a campaign and the fundamentals
around effective media optimisation.

The course will begin with an overview of campaign management and a basic understanding of media
optimisation and its importance to the success of a campaign and then go into deeper discussion about
identifying under-performing placements and/or ads, understanding performance and managing conversion
optimisation, utilization of reports to make necessary recommendations on program and placement reallocations,
identifying and troubleshooting problems with ads and other issues that can cause under-delivery.

This course will be beneficial to account coordinators and account managers who have been in their role for more than 6 months and/or other ad operations staff seeking to expand their knowledge.

    About the Instructor
    Elizabeth Townsend studied Applied European Languages (French & German) at Kingston University in Surrey. She began her career at Yahoo! Europe in 1999 after University as an Ad Operations Executive. Promoted to Senior Ad Operations Executive at Yahoo! Europe in 2000.

    In 2001 Elizabeth moved to FT.com as Head of Online Advertising Production, managing the global online ads production team for the Financial Times website. Six years later, still at FT.com she manages a team of 10 ad operations professionals and is working on online advertising global strategy.
