As the General Manager of Operative's office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Maria Athayde spearheads the company's expansion in the local market, and leads its world class Ad Operations organization. Prior to Operative, Maria led online media projects and strategies at UNICEF Brazil as the New Media Officer and consulted on government technology projects at TerraForum Consultores and Conselho Nacional dos Secretários de Educação as the Marketing and Communication Consultant. Earlier in her career, at Abril Group, one of the largest publishing companies in Brazil, Maria successfully heightened Abril’s online presence by implementing new interactive website features and developing premium multi-channel advertising solutions. Maria holds a bachelor degree in Marketing & Advertising from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM), in Sao Paulo. She also attained certifications in Marketing and Project Management from University of California in Irvine and New York University.
