Looks like 2014 is kicking off with a bang as AdMonsters’ Gavin Dunaway heads to the nation’s capital to lead a discussion featuring Jeff Burkett, Senior Director of Sales Operations and Product Strategy at The Washington Post, and Angie Teates, EVP of Business Operations for Remedy Health Media. In particular, the night’s discussion will focus on viewability and responsive design, but with a room full of the brightest digital revenue specialists in DC, any subject is game.

If you’re in the Washington Metro area, head over to The Washington Post’s office at 1150 15th St. NW (between L and M streets) at 6:30 pm to join the evening’s conversation, indulge in a couple cocktails and network to your heart’s content. The discussion starts at 7:15 pm followed by more networking after. If you plan to attend, simply RSVP to give us a heads up.

Jeff Burkett, Senior Director, Sales Operations and Product Strategy, The Washington Post

Jeff Burkett is the Senior Director of Advertising Innovation and Client Services at Washington Post Digital. He is responsible for the overall monetization strategy of display advertising across all WPD properties, as well as the operations team that supports this large, complex business. He works closely with WPD’s editorial, marketing, sales and technology staff to leverage the potential of digital advertising, focusing on strategic initiatives that are well ahead of the curve.

Under Jeff’s leadership, WPD has executed successful ad strategies for social, video, mobile web, tablets, podcasting, RSS, widgets and other alternative platforms. Jeff is currently focused on Inventory Optimization (including Private Exchanges) and developing strategies to leverage third-party data to increase direct sold CPM’s.

Angie Teates, EVP of Business Operations, Remedy Health Media

As EVP of Business Operations at Remedy Health Media, Angie is involved in ad operations, sales, custom program development, marketing, analytics, finance, and business development.  Angie joined Remedy through the acquisition of HealthCentral.com, which she had joined as a director of technology. She believes that technology plays such a crucial role in advertising that every online media publisher should hire a “tech guy” (or gal) to their ad operations team.  Prior to joining Remedy/HealthCentral, Angie was a technology consultant with Accenture where she worked with WashingtonPost.com, SonyMusic.com, and Nokia.com.
