What is AdMonsters?

Founded in 1999, AdMonsters is an independent professional association for
senior leaders of advertising technology and advertising operations in online
publishing. AdMonsters has hosted eight bi-annual conferences to date in the US,
and AdMonsters IX is coming up August 17-20, 2003. AdMonsters
also hosts an invaluable members-only discussion forum, with over 120 members.

The group provides a forum for peers in the field of online advertising
operations to communicate, collaborate, and develop and share best practices.
One of our key goals is to reduce the cost and time required to implement,
deploy, and track online advertising. We focus primarily on topics such as ad
serving and related technologies, ad production/traffic, inventory and yield
management, advertising products, policies, procedures, pricing, and industry
standards. AdMonsters has a close relationship with the IAB, having worked on
several joint projects over the past few years.

AdMonsters Europe

AdMonsters Europe was held Tuesday, July 8, in Paris. We had 20 member
attendees from companies including AOL Europe, AOL UK, AOL Germany, Ask Jeeves
UK, Fox Kids (UK), Lycos Europe, MSN EMEA, SevenOne Interactive (Germany), Terra
Lycos (Spain), and Yahoo (UK). We’re looking forwards to our next AdMonsters Europe conference, most likely in
late January, 2004.

Attendance & Registration

The cost for individual member attendees is Eur 249 (approx $295), including conference fees,

meals, and group activities. Attendance
at the conference is limited to existing and pending (new) AdMonsters members.
Membership is limited to individuals employed by online publishing/media
companies, whose roles focus on ad operations and/or ad technology. If you are
member, you should have already received registration materials. If you are not
already a member, please visit our
membership application
page
if you are interested in attending.

Conference Agenda

For our first European meeting, we are planning a one-day conference session
followed by an evening social event and dinner. The bulk of the conference session — which,
as with all AdMonsters events, is only open to members — will be made up of
member-led discussions, case studies and best practices.

Location

The conference will be held at Microsoft EMEA headquarters in La Defense, Paris, France.
