Ad Ops Topics: verification services

Verification or Brand Safety services are checking an ad buy against certain parameters (usually having to do with audience targeting or ad placement) to make sure it's being fulfilled correctly by the publishers or ad networks providing the inventory. For instance, verification services can check to make sure that the ads are not delivering against content that is deemed inappropriate.

There has been a lot of buzz lately about ad verification in the digital space.  The media is writing about it, publishers and agencies are arguing about it, clients are asking questions about it, and providers are pushing it.  The IAB even recently hosted a half-day conference to address this topic.
