About the speaker 

Joel Cymberg, Investor and Director, PlayMedia Ltd 

Joel is a UK based serial entrepreneur specialising in taking small/medium sized companies from inception to sale. He is currently a partner at Media Ventures (Europe)a TMT 'active' investment vehicle that he runs with Jon Walsh.

Joel co-founded Monetise, one of the UK's most successful online media sales companies, with Jon Walsh, selling the business to Glam Media in 2008. Prior to this Joel co-founded First Media, a rich media solutions business with offices in London, San Francisco and Gothenberg, that was sold to management in 2004.

Joel's prior experience centres mainly on Mergers and Acquisitions and strategic consulting, having held management roles in the following divisions at the following businesses; Corporate Finance (mainly M&A/Disposals) at Grant Thornton, Grenadier Capital and RAD. Fixed Income at Nikko.
