Hello all,
Just looking for some insight on where the industry is on the conforming to
the new cookie regulations.
Also how have networks worked to make sure they conform too.
Has anyone made any progress on ideas to give the informed consent to users. I know we have until May to fully conform but looking for some insight.
I've seen lots of ideas, from pop ups to push downs to overlays. It would be interesting to know what you are considering.
Thanks,
Faisal.

I have some feedback from a recent IAPP webinar I'd be happy to share, but basically the implementation will be different in different countries. Some seem to consider the browser settings as consent. Others are looking for "specific and informed consent", meaning listing all the parties that will be collecting data and making sure consumers have access to opt-out of each rather than just a generic Accept Cookies Yes/No.
If something more than browser settings are needed for that country, the ICO in UK (ico dot gov dot uk) has a good example of the opt-in at the top of the page with all partners listed in privacy notice.
Hi Faisal,
Are you asking about the DAA self regulation product?
The regulation varies, depending on the country you are operating in.
you can find more information on www.truste.com
Cheers,
Jalal
