Hello Monsters -

Are advertisers requesting publishers have the capability to overlay the Ad Choices icon on third-party ad creative? If so, what vendors can help us implement the icon in this manner?

Thanks in advance!

In our third party ad-serving platform for advertisers (Adform), privacy icons can be added to creatives and tags dynamically, so I would guess that other systems also provide this. So you could check if the clients third-party ad-serving system can actually do this for them.

Jeff, Erika & Chris - Thank you for the help! We're going to meet with Evidon and TrustE this week. I appreciate it!

This link might help as it describes the process and a list of the 3 trusted partners:

As a IT service business to the media and advertising industry time to explore how you can get added to the list!

Chris.

I'm on the agency side and MSN had asked us to overlay the ad choice icon into our ads. Our clients are actually moving in the direction to have this inbedded into all of our ads not only the required BT ads. The company we're in talks with to make this happen is Evidon. It's a very simple process and if you use DFP I belive there's an automatic funtion that they can ad into the ad unit page. Hope this helps.

We were asked to do this for the very first time last week...probably by the same client who is asking you. For this one off client, we are going to serve the icon ourselves...its not hard when implementing for just one client.

To be prepared in the long term, for doing this on a broader scale, you should speak to Evidon or Truste.

If you want to know exactly how we did it, you can email me at jeff dot burkett at wpost dot com.
