Campaign Manager, Gravity.com
We are looking for a motivated, awesome candidate to join our Gravity team here in Santa Monica, CA. Our sales team is hungry, and closing deals at a record pace, but we need more operational structure – that’s where you (hopefully) come in! The Campaign Manager will work closely with the sales team by helping through the RFP and campaign execution processes. The Gravity ad server was built from the ground floor, is improving by the day, and is begging to have the right levers pulled (that’s you, again!). Gravity is not a traditional ad network, in that our ad units are custom content recommendations (as opposed to standard IAB display units), but universal AdOps principles are still the same here. Our network is growing tremendously, so a key part of this role will be performance optimization, and campaign ownership; we want the salespeople to focus on what they do best – selling (duh). As a Campaign Manager, you will report to the Senior Manager of AdOps and collaborate internally with all teams: from sales to biz dev to engineering. The office is a block from the beach, so while the environment is very fun and relaxed, we still work hard to achieve our revenue and product goals.
Ensure that online advertising campaigns are implemented in an accurate and timely manner to ensure complete and accurate revenue recognition (we don’t like losing money, come on!).
Responsible for executing on all operational efforts relating to the management of online ad campaigns: trafficking, monitoring, and optimizing.
Schedule the delivery of online advertising campaigns via various ad delivery technologies and platforms.
Prepare campaign performance reports and post-campaign analysis for sales and clients.
Regularly provide optimization recommendations to the Account Management team, both from an inventory standpoint and a creative standpoint.
Primary liaison between ad operations, sales and technical staff.
First point of contact for investigating and resolving reporting discrepancies and campaign issues.
Able to work non-standard hours as needed to address ad-related emergencies as they arise.
Assist in other projects as assigned (we do lots of cool stuff!).
BA/BS degree in media-related or computer-related field, or equivalent work experience.
1-2 years of Internet experience in an internet/media-related company working in ad operations or similar role.
Experience working on ad serving platforms, and Salesforce.com, as well as demonstrated expertise using MS Excel.
Basic knowledge of HTML, Flash and rich media.
Experience manipulating data with performance campaigns sold on CPC, or CPA (we love data).
Strong organization skills, attention to detail, diligence and follow-through, and experience prioritizing multiple deadlines.
Self-starter, goal-oriented, and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with online advertising and ad serving software.
Clear understanding of how to provide superior customer service.
