About the Session

Mobile has undergone a sea change in the past two years, beginning with the the introduction of the iPhone and Android devices in 2007. These devices boasted fully functional Internet browsers (with Javascript and HTML) and application platforms to enable anyone to build applications for them. Since then, both the hardware and software on phones have improved dramatically. In addition, out of the mobile revolution a new computing device. has emerged: the tablet, explemplifed by the iPad, with many competing devices in the works. Both Mobile and Tablets represent huge opportunities for publishers and advertisers, but they have some unique challenges, too. We’ll talk about both, pointing to some great examples and offering key tips to succeed.

Alex is the Product Manager of Doubleclick’s Mobile Display Advertising Platform. He works with Doubleclick’s software engineering team to design and develop new products and features for mobile publishers and advertisers. Alex has been working at Google since 2006 during which time he has worked on a wide variety of projects from rolling-out CRM tools for the Google sales team to building a machine-learning recommendation system for the Google Help Center.
