Senior Manager, Business Projects
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
MySpace is looking for a strategic, disciplined, highly organized Senior Manager of Business Projects. This manager will translate strategic business goals derived from the department lead into operational projects, with the goal of minimizing disruption to daily executive activities and maximizing their forward going responsibilities.
This individual will lead the coordination of the Business Solutions team’s efforts designed to execute all large scale business processes and projects across MySpace’s sales operations group; likewise they will act as the day to day emissary to other groups in the organization, including but not limited to, accounting, corporate analytics, product and sales. In addition, this project manager will regularly engage, via project execution, all 3rd party partners, including, but not limited to, ad serving, order management and CRM partners.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and execute necessary ‘project plan frameworks’ across all Sales Operations Departments in conjunction with the Senior Director, Business Solutions with the intent to support MySpace’s overall Business objectives; they will derive, from these objectives, actionable projects which include pre and post work flow and ROI impact analysis.
- Manage to deadline, all requirements as set forth by Sales Operations leaders including implementation, integration, adoption and ongoing improvement of usage and function for all 3rd Party Sales Systems. Likewise, close gaps in 3rd party systems in conjunction with engineering & IT.
- Proactively assist to define inefficiencies and process vulnerabilities across the Sales Platform.
- Engage the stakeholder owners of baseline data sources to ‘manage up’ plans that support all data driven projects enabling sales and operations to have easy access and confidence in relevant data sources.
- Attend and document outcome and follow through of interdepartmental meetings designed to maintain continuity across all end user Sales Systems’ usage with a focus on homogenizing overlapping functionality and data intelligence
- Measure and validate new technology decisions at behest of department lead.
- Assist in driving the development and adoption of completed project plans.
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years experience in online media is sales operations, client services or project management role
- Knowledge of digital advertising – the industry, trends and evolution therein of its systems
- Conversant Sales Processes, Account Management, Trafficking Procedures, Intelligence Reporting and Financial/Accounting Practices (GAAP)
- Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, project /task prioritization and schedule development
- General knowledge of Project Management best practices, including translation of task list into executive updates
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to work effectively among all levels of internal and external management
- Proficient in: MS Word, Project, Excel and PowerPoint; as well as Integrated Sales-Order Management-Finance systems.
- Bachelor’s Degree Required

- Having a proven track record of project completion is a must with the ability to communicate issues and solution approaches to senior management via dept lead.

- Outstanding cross-functional project management experience with strong company networking, conflict management and navigation knowledge
- Understanding of proposed business solution to enhance end game of project
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Professional maturity, integrity, discipline and a positive attitude
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) negotiation skills
