Responsive Web Site - Google DFP Tags - How to swap out?
Hello. Got a topic for you....
Working on a redesign to www.pgatour.com.
The new site content will be in blocks and will be responsive.
The ad creative won't be responstive, so, we plan to - in DFP -
>>> Breakpoint #1 - 970x90 ad shows - "pgatour.desktop" is the "high-level" values in DFP
>>> Breakpoint #2 - 728x90 ad shows - "pgatour.tablet" is the "high-level" values in DFP
>>> Breakpoint #3 - 320x50 ad shows - "pgatour.phone" is the "high-level" values in DFP
Question - Are there any sites that are swapping out ad tags like this that you know of?
The issues we are expecting to tackle are:
#1 - What if a user resizes their browser? the content will adapt; but the ad spaces will need to stay the same size; unless we reload them; or pre-load them and hide them. Both solutions have downsides.
#2 - Maybe we don't change ad sizes if users resize their browser on desktop; or change from landscape to portrait on tablet - but how can that regrade gracefully if the content is responding into smaller blocks; but the ad spaces are the same size.
Any guidance is appreciated
