Implementing GPT in ExactTarget Email server

Has anyone implemented DFP GPT (the special email format) tags in the ExactTarget Email Server? I am having trouble using ET’s APTScript to generate the cache-busting random number for the tags. The ads serve fine but don’t click through. I suspect that the problem is ExactTarget’s automatic click tracking is breaking them by grabbing up the anchor tag with the APTScript-set random number variable on the end of it and replacing it with the ExactTarget click URL. If anyone can help point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.
