Ad Ops - Revenue Reporting & Accounting best practices

Hello all,
I'm reaching out to ask for thoughts/feedback or seeking finance/accounting contacts with companies that manage ad networks.
Researching best practices/strategies for managing reporting with ad ops activities - optimizations/reconcilation of 3rd party data, etc.
The specific use case we're researching is where ad revenue is attributed back to each site where impressions are occurring gets modified as ops completes optimizations or end of campaign reconciliation of 3rd party served lines
Ideally would like to setup a short call to gather some info on policies and best practices.

Would love to understand the exact same from finance/acct perspective. While we are focused on a specific market vertical (travel) providing high-relevance/contextually-aware mobile ads, we have the same issue particularly w/ 3rd party.
