Turning innovation into revenue takes a managed approach that makes sure that new ad products meet the needs of clients, sales, ad operations and finance. Matthew Gay, VP Media Advertising Operations, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia will discuss his approach to managing innovative ideas and making sure they are effective, scalable and at the end of the day profitable.

Jeff BurkettJeff Burkett is the Sr Director of Advertising Innovation and Client Services at Washington Post Digital.  He is responsible for the overall monetization strategy of display advertising across all WPD properties, as well as the operations team that supports this large, complex business.  

He works closely with WPD’s editorial, marketing, sales, development and operations staff to leverage the potential of the Web, focusing on strategic initiatives that are well ahead of the curve.  Under Jeff’s leadership, WPD has executed successful ad strategies for video, wireless, podcasting, RSS, widgets and other alternative platforms. 

Jeff is currently working on the challenges of Inventory Optimization, Inventory Extension and Syndication.

Matthew Gay, VP Media Advertising Operations, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia

Matthew GayMatt Gay is a senior business executive with over 15 years of experience in business process, systems, and data management.

Currently, Matt is Vice President of Media Advertising Operations at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.  He is responsible for digital inventory management, revenue forecasting, price yield management, and advertising campaign management.  Matt also manages publishing and television advertising operations and formerly managed Site Metrics.

Prior to Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Matt contributed to efficiency and information accuracy at such leading companies as Mars Incorporated, Deloitte Consulting, Ernst & Young, and Accenture.
