SAS Acquires aiMatch to Build Holistic Campaign Management System

Business analytics specialist SAS has acquired ad-serving platform aiMatch, with plans to combine the companies' technologies to provide online publishers with a holistic system for managing and optimizing inventory as well as forecasting and measuring ad revenue – all in real time across channels.


"Due to an explosion of data the online advertising industry is in desperate need of better solutions to analyze and make use of all of the new information available to them," said former aiMatch CEO Jeff Wood, who will be taking a leadership role at SAS. "Publishers are actively seeking a technology partner that does not compete with them in the media space. Combining aiMatch's intelligent decision and delivery engine with SAS' analytics and optimization capabilities provides a highly desirable solution to both of these problems."


According to an email sent clients, all aiMatch employees will be joining the SAS team under the direction of Wood and CTO Guy Taylor and Chief Visionary Officer Ryan Treichler, who both will be assuming new leadership roles at SAS. SAS was recently named a leader in the digital marketing management space by Gartner in its "Magic Quadrant for Integrated Marketing Management" report as well as Forrester in the "Cross-Channel Campaign Management" Wave report.
